Do Calming Dog Beds Really Work?

April 13, 2021

If you have a pet and a social media account it's highly likely that you've seen ads for anti-anxiety or calming pet beds. But do they actually work?

The short answer is YES! Veterinarians suggest that these beds can relieve stress and anxiety so if you have a dog who gets anxious when you're out at work or who gets quite anxious generally one of these beds could be the perfect solution.

How they work

Calming dog beds are designed to help reduce stress and anxiety. Their soft shape and material surrounds your dog creating a sense of warmth and comfort which immediately puts them at ease. The beds contain pet friendly filling which keeps the beds plush and soft whilst also provided support for your dog.

The raised rim creates a sense of security and provides head and neck support. If you have an older dog, or a dog with joint / muscle issues the support offered by the bed will provide pain relief and allow for a much more comfortable night's sleep.

When choosing a bed we would recommend a size slightly larger than your dog to allow for maximum comfort!

Our best-selling calming bed can be found at the link below:

For dog with more severe joint / muscle pain issues we also have some memory foam orthopaedic dog beds which can provide some extra comfort:
